5-Day Summer Course: Theory and Skills of Ethics Teaching University of Montana, Missoula Deni Elliott will again offer the popular Theory and Skills of Ethics Teaching course August 1-5 at the University of Montana, Missoula. The course is suitable for K-12, post-secondary educators, and Ethics & Compliance Officers who want to learn concepts, pedagogy and create materials for teaching within their own learning environments. Class size limited to 20. Course cost $860 with an extra charge of $135 for 3 transferable graduate credits.

Teachers College National Conference on Philosophy Outreach New York, NY On Saturday, October 16th, 2010, the Teachers College Philosophy Program hosted a national conference on philosophy outreach programs and the pre-college instruction of philosophy. The aim of the conference was to bring together representatives from philosophy graduate programs, graduate education programs, and schools to discuss pertinent issues. Topics included the value of philosophy in secondary schools, lessons from existent outreach programs, and ways to raise awareness of the pre-college instruction of philosophy.
