Foundation History: The Squire Family Foundation was founded in 2006 by Gary Squire, a Washington, D.C. attorney and businessman. Mr. Squire has a long-standing interest in both ethics and education. In addition to studying philosophy at Oxford University before graduating from Harvard Law School, Mr. Squire also served on the board of Trustees of the Wakefield School in The Plains, VA, and was a founding member and former trustee of the City Collegiate Charter School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Squire believes that all high school students should have the opportunity to study ethics before high school graduation in the hope that the decisions they make, in their personal and professional lives, will be grounded in an ethical framework.
