Welcome to the Squire Family Foundation website.

We're working with philosophers and educators to ensure that all students in American secondary schools have an opportunity to study ethics.

Ethics, which derives from the Greek word for 'character,' is about how we act. To study ethics is to focus not only on what we decide but also on how and why we decide as we do.

Grant Awards
The Squire Family Foundation has awarded grants to Dr. Thomas E. Wartenberg at Mount Holyoke College and the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University.
