Roslyn High School beats field of twelve to win first annual Long Island Ethics Bowl

Bethpage, NY - April 10, 2010 Roslyn High School inched out Bethpage High School to win the First Annual Long Island Ethics Bowl which took place at Bethpage High School.

Twelve teams competed in the the first annual match, analyzing a range of topics, from censorship of school newspapers to the ethics of creationism in science classrooms. Eighteen judges, drawn from a variety of professions, scored the matches; Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano served as a judge in the final round.

Roslyn's team, coached by Jeri Malloy, had never before competed in an Ethics Bowl. Team members included Olivia Conetta, Tim Silber, Michael Resnick, Jenny Godman, and Isaac Fisher.
